For this international conference and festival, I managed all aspects of marketing to create brand awareness, promote events and generate ticket sales. Our messaging was always led by beautiful visuals to showcase the stunning venues and extraordinary talent that made these events unique.

Newsletters

I create and manage email campaigns from start to finish, writing, designing and sending them to wide or targeted audiences. These campaigns follow a media plan, which I create to make sure that email topics are in line with company targets as well important public dates and current trends, which is updated regularly to remain agile and flexible according to the client’s needs.

  • A carefully thought-out media calendar takes into account business needs, sales goals and current affairs and trends in order to capture and retain an audience

  • These newsletters needed to strike a balance between descriptive and digestible to keep readers engaged until the end

  • Not all content is for everyone - with two main types of reader, previous attendees and newsletter subscribers, I made sure to tailor the content and messaging for each

  • By reviewing open rates, click through rates and hot spots of interest in newsletters, I was able to tweak and tailor them to our audience, making our average open rate an impressive 61%

Make it stand out

  • Understanding the business need and audience preferences I developed the concepts for all videos to promote events with different pillars in mind.

  • Not all videos require scripts or copy, but when they do it needs to be snappy, to the point and have the ability to attract viewers within 3-5 seconds in order to retain their attention.

  • Using the designed strategy, I compile briefs of what to shoot, when and how for videographers to capture and then assist in shot selection and video flow during production and editing.

  • I uploaded and published our videos onto YouTube in both long and short formats to expand our reach and created adapted sizes and bite-sized versions of videos to share on social media channels.

Brochures

Complimenting digital marketing tools, printed and electronic brochures are an ideal tool for customers to keep and to share with their networks.

  • A secondary sales tool, these brochures needed to be easy to read for our international audience who needed quick access to all the main key selling points of our event in one place

  • The key to making our brochures engaging was using striking visuals and icons which attracted the eye and stimulated emotional responses from the reader

Social Media

  • A beautiful feed needs careful planning, to align images, promote events and sales and tie into current trends all with the right format of content to attract current and potential audiences

  • Beautiful imagery and engaging videos are the key to success on social platforms, I selected and implemented each with care and in line with each of Harvest's pillars

  • A picture tells a thousand words, but it doesn't give the full story - I'd fill in the gaps with playful captions that were easily digestible for an international audience
